Philadelphia Flower Show from 7:30am-5:30pm on March 7th, 2016
The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is an annual event at the Pennsylvania
Convention Center in March. It is the world's oldest and largest indoor
flower show, attracting more than 260,000 people annually. The Show features large-scale gardens, elaborate landscapes, and over-the-top floral
creations.
Visitors to the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show are treated to fabulous design,
live entertainment, gardening how-to workshops, and lectures by experts.
Theme is Explore America with 100 years of the National Park Service. There are many attractions and things to do like the Sip and Savor which is free wine and spirits tasting, a miniature train garden, base camp that is for the outdoor enthusiasts, and the flower show marketplace with gardening and horticultural products including flowers and many gift items. Plus the amazing displays of flowers that makes this an adventure.
Cost is $45/person which includes transportation to Philadelphia and ticket price for Flower Show. Please sign up as soon as possible as I need to preorder tickets by Feb 17. Payment is due by Feb 29. Please pay at January or Febuary luncheons or drop off at 17B Garrison Lane on base.
Also if interested in Garden Tea at 12:30. You have to register on Flower show website and it is an additional cost of $28. Optional.
